Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Cell

Finishing School (Enhancing Employability and Entrepreneurship Skills)

The Finishing School under the Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). Udaipur, is initiated with the aim to enhance the employability and entrepreneurship skills of students pursuing university degrees, and to bridge the gap  between academics and industry.

For students pursuing degrees, the implementation and execution of Finishing Schools will be integrated with their existing department/constituent college or university schedule. Students will attend regular courses followed by two hours of skill enhancement courses. The skill courses will be carefully curated from a pool of courses. designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge in demand in the job market.

To ensure high-quality education, well-qualified faculty members will be hired for regular courses, maintaining a teacher-student ratio of 1:25. Additionally, industry experts and faculty members will be hired for skill courses, improving the ratio to 1:20.

This ensures that students receive practical insights and guidance from professionals with hands-on experience in their respective fields.

Finishing schools provide numerous benefits to students. For students pursuing degrees, these schools enhance their employability and professional development by focusing on essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. They also offer industry-specific training, career guidance, and placement assistance, bridging the gap between academia and the job market. Moreover, students gain networking opportunities, personality enhancement sessions, and entrepreneurial skills training. preparing them for successful careers and leadership roles.
