Lokmanya Tilak Teachers’ Training College is one of the oldest Teachers Training College of Rajasthan and was established in 1966 by Manishi Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar. It is located in an eco-friendly surrounding and outstanding scenic beauty on the airport road, 18 km away from Udaipur. the first of the historical building where Colonel James Tod wrote ‘Annals and Antiquities of Rajasthan ‘ is also part of this college . The college offers M.Ed., B.Ed., M.Ed., B.Ed., B.Ed. (Child Development), D. El. Ed., M.A. Education and Ph.D. (Education) Courses. The college was upgraded as College of Teacher Education (CTE) in 1993. NAAC Accredited ‘A’ grade to the college in the year 2005. The institute has been assessed and certified ISO 9001:2015 by OTABU certification limited for the quality management system.

Established in 1966 A.D. by the visionary Manishi Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar, the institution dedicated to provide the Teacher Education to the deprived classes. Our institution believes in holistic and constructivist teacher education environment that encompasses academics, co-curricular activities, sports education and life-skills learning. The lush green Polythene free, zero carbon emission campus with free Wi-Fi , indoor and outdoor sports facilities with regular Yoga classes provides ample scope for fourfold development of our future teachers. The college has an elegant library with reading room.
The library contents with text materials and research theses with e amenities like kiosk, computers and photo copier . We have various labs like language, Social Science, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Psychology, and IT labs. The institute have a unique feature with a Heritage building name The Colonel James Todd Hall, where Colonel Todd had wrote the Annals and Antiquities of Rajasthan. We have a team of dedicated and qualified, as per the NCTE norms, team of faculty members. The continuous extension lectures from renowned educationists are a feather in our cap. We have a wide data base of community base activities , during Covid-19 the data collection was asked by UGC. The Vanshala shivir is a unique part to associate teaching with community.

Mission and goals
The institution works on the mission to prepare lokmanya, value oriented, dynamic prospective teachers who can serve efficiently at all levels of school education through inside and outside class activities at different school situation. To fulfill this mission, it has set the following goals:
- To prepare competent and committed school teachers.
- To develop sense of social responsibility in would be teachers. E To impart skills of working with the community.
- To impart education and skill to prepare teacher who can efficiently take the responsibility of developing cognitive, cognitive and psychomotor aspects of the personality of children.
- The objective of different courses and activities are set to achieve these goals.
