The Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (SEDC) at Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) is dedicated to fostering a culture of skill development and entrepreneurship among students and the broader community. Established with the vision of bridging the gap between education and industry, the SEDC aims to equip individuals with the practical skills and entrepreneurial mindset necessary to thrive in today’s competitive job market.

The Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (SEDC) is dedicated to equipping students with practical training and capacity development programs across various domains. Our mission is to enhance employability, promote entrepreneurship, and create a skilled workforce that can thrive in an ever-evolving job market.

Objectives

The SEDC is committed to several key objectives:

  • Skill Development: To conduct a variety of skill development programs that enhance the employability of students and prepare them for the workforce.
  • Entrepreneurship Promotion: To inspire and support aspiring entrepreneurs through awareness camps, development programs, and mentorship.
  • Community Engagement: To extend training opportunities to rural youth, providing them with skills that can lead to self-employment and economic empowerment.
  • Women Empowerment: To offer specialized training programs for underprivileged and rural women, promoting their independence and economic participation.

Programs and Initiatives:

The SEDC offers a diverse range of programs designed to meet the needs of both students and the community:

  • Industry-Aligned Training: Our programs are aligned with Industry 4.0 and 5.0 standards, ensuring that participants acquire relevant and up-to-date skills. Collaborations with the National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) enhance the quality and effectiveness of our training.
  • Finishing School: Through our “Finishing School,” we provide specialized training for rural youth in various fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Organic Farming, Mushroom Cultivation, Communication Skills, Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, Electrician Training, Plumbing, Lab Technician Skills etc.
  • Women’s Skill Development: Recognizing the importance of empowering women, the SEDC offers exclusive courses such as beautician training, baking, tailoring, etc. specifically designed for underprivileged and rural women.
