The Right to Information (RTI) Cell at Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) is dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance within the university. Established in accordance with the Right to Information Act of 2005, the RTI Cell serves as a vital resource for students, faculty, and staff, empowering them to access information and engage with the university’s administrative processes.

Mission

The mission of the RTI Cell is to facilitate the effective implementation of the Right to Information Act by:

  1. Promoting Awareness: Educating the university community about their rights under the RTI Act and the importance of transparency in governance.
  2. Providing Assistance: Offering guidance and support to individuals seeking information through RTI applications.
  3. Ensuring Compliance: Monitoring and ensuring that the university adheres to the provisions of the RTI Act, including timely responses to information requests.

Objectives

  • Facilitate Access to Information: Ensure that all stakeholders can easily access information related to the university’s functioning, policies, and decisions.
  • Enhance Transparency: Promote transparency in the university’s administrative processes and decision-making.

  • Streamline RTI Processes: Simplify the process of filing RTI applications and ensure timely responses from the university administration.

Functions of the RTI Cell

  • Information Dissemination: Provide information about the RTI Act, its provisions, and the process for filing RTI applications.
  • Application Assistance: Assist individuals in drafting and submitting RTI applications, ensuring that requests are clear and concise.
  • Monitoring Compliance: Track the status of RTI applications and ensure that the university responds within the stipulated time frame.
  • Training and Workshops: Organize training sessions and workshops to educate the university community about the RTI Act and its significance.
  • Feedback Mechanism: Establish a feedback mechanism to address concerns and suggestions related to the RTI process.

 

How to File an RTI Application?

  • Identify the Information Required: Clearly specify the information you seek.
  • Draft the Application: Write a concise application, including your name, contact details, and the information requested.
  • Submit the Application: Submit your application to the designated Public Information Officer (PIO) of the university, either in person or through email.
  • Await Response: The university is required to respond to your application within 30 days. If the information is not provided, you have the right to appeal.
